Biome reflects an idea and a preoccupation with music that I've had for several years now: when I was learning to play the guitar, I was confronted with musical visions that sought to fragment styles, to dissect them in depth, in order to extract the very essence that differentiates each aesthetic from another. Instead of going down that road, my aim with this first album is to bring the works closer together, to give them a common strength, to create a homogeneous listening atmosphere based on sound, playing, and enjoyment, and to highlight the intrinsic links between the pieces. Because that's what I'm interested in: creating real or imagined associations between works to bring them together. Through these relationships, each piece takes on its own meaning as part of an equation and acquires a new depth. The three aesthetics on this record, which might seem separate at first glance, are in fact just parts of the same idea, the same sphere, in a word: a biome.
