從小就對黑人嘻哈/饒舌樂派著迷的靈魂中心Travis ＂Schleprok＂ McCoy，和鼓手好友Matt McGinley、吉他手Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo、貝斯手Eric Roberts共同組織起Gym Class Heroes。1999-2001年間獨立發行一些作品，2005年進入Fueled By Ramen旗下發行正式進軍國際市場專輯《The Papercut Chronicles》，除了回歸獨立時期的架構外，更發掘時興的絕妙音符，玩興大開的自由解放！
